Here's what I've read since last time!

Mid 2024, I dropped My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante for another time (picked it up later and really enjoyed it!)

⭐️The Stand by Stephen King - a giant 1200+ page book and wow. It's my favorite SK novel to date. This took me August'24 all the way to Jan'25. It's not easy carrying this monster book wherever I went. But totally worth it. It's a fascinating novel with incredibly written characters. Could not help but be completely absorbed.

⭐️My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante - It's been named the numero uno book of the 21st century by NYT so I just had to! Really fun read. Quite hilarious at times and told from the point of view of a young girl in Naples, Italy.

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See - it was the book of the month of an online book club I'd joined. It was a good read but one I would not recommend.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro - I didn't finish this one but I must give it another shot.

Babel by R.F. Kuang - do not recommend. It was interesting at first and a great concept for a novel but it felt dragged. I just wanted to get rid of it fast. Did not like.

⭐️The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. Beautiful story, made me tear up at some parts. But that's Kristin Hannah I guess. Highly recommend.

⭐️Pet Sematary by Stephen King - oh boy. This book was absolutely terrifying. So SO good. Brilliantly paced. King himself said that Pet Sematary is the one that truly scared him the most.

⭐️Salem's Lot by Stephen King - just finished it and what a great book. Frightening, no doubt. I especially loved chapters dedicated to the Lot. Genuinely hard to put down. Very spooky in a very very real way.

I was planning on doing an SK marathon. I've got my next SK novel lined up (Duma Key) but thought I'll take a short break. I've started Butter by Asako Yuzuki!
